Logan Stout: Professional MLB Player to Wellness Entrepreneur

Logan Stout became successful at a young age. At just 38 years old, he is the founder and CEO of IDLife, a company dedicated to health and wellness. He also started The Dallas Patriots baseball organization. It is a corporation that provides baseball teams with coaches, training, mentoring and first-rate instructors. He authored the book “Stout Advice: The Secrets to Building Yourself, People and Teams.” He’s also a former professional athlete as well as a 17-time World Series participant and coach.

In the Beginning

When he was young, Logan Stout participated in several different sports including baseball. Early in life, he was interested in finding ways to form winning strategies whether he was playing for a team, working on a class project or enjoying a hobby. Stout attended J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, TX. He was successful in high school. Not only was he on the Student Athletic Council, but he also received the MVP title when he played junior and senior basketball. In high school, Stout played both baseball and basketball.

After graduating from high school, Stout attended Panola where he earned a degree in business. He also attended the University of Dallas. He left the college with a psychology degree in addition to a number of prestigious college baseball titles. Stout served as a youth minister, and he was a coach at Dallas Baptist University. Upon leaving college, he played baseball for the Fort Worth Cats.

Heading to the Pro League

As someone who automatically sought success, Stout became a professional baseball player. During these years, he participated in 17 World Series events as a player and a coach. Logan has participated in numerous sports broadcasts along with sports and business publications. A few years ago, Dallas Child Magazine interviewed him to help youth coaches learn ways to teach to young players.

He has been a keynote speaker for companies, seminars, banquets and even small group camps. He has spoken to sold out arenas and appeared on the cover of major business magazines. He is even the star of several training videos. Radio personalities have interviewed him. Currently, he travels the country to provide motivational teaching.

Because baseball is his passion, Stout mentors young players. He especially seeks out those who are new to the sport or struggling. Seeing young players improve their game gives him a sense of purpose and joy. He also believes that when children build their skills on the sports field, they become more confident. This inspired Stout to create the Dallas Patriots organization.

A Major Baseball Organization

The Dallas Patriots is one of the world’s largest baseball organizations. Stout wants baseball training to be accessible to every kid who has a desire to play. To help young players develop their skills, the organization sets up personalized private classes, baseball clinics and baseball camps. Because he believes in supporting local communities, Stout has volunteer and community service positions available in the organization. He wants young athletes to recognize his or her physical abilities and have the chance to make the most of them.

Taking a New Direction

In 2014, Stout started IDLife, which is a company that provides customers with customized nutrition programs. It is based on independent clinical studies, and since it’s tailored to every individual, those who sign up for the service receive the proper amount of daily nutrients. Instead of taking a multivitamin, people take one that is customized to them. To tailor the products, customers complete an assessment test. This lets the company’s representatives suggest the proper product blend based on each person’s needs.

Stout choose this path for IDLife because he saw that companies in the health market typically offer their product without providing guidance. By giving people direction, Logan discovered a way to be an advocate for the health and wellness industry instead of being merely a merchant. IDLife’s product line is made from high-quality ingredients. It is also free of GMOs. They are also gluten-free and soy-free.

Stout’s product line is designed to help people who have struggled to lose weight and want to live a healthier life. The company is growing with people like Troy Aikman, renowned trainer Jen Widerstrom and billionaire Darwin Deason becoming partners. In forming his companies, Logan was very careful regarding his collaborations. He surrounded himself with people who shared his interests.

Meant for Big Things

Stout has experienced plenty of success, but it didn’t come without effort. In fact, as a child of a single mother, Logan grew up with little money. He recently said, “The man at the top of success mountain didn’t just fall there. You have to fight through adversity to get there.” Showing that once a coach always a coach, he went on to say, “It’s never as simple as you think it will be, but that’s why it’s worth it. It’s going to be a lot longer, a lot harder and a lot more difficult than you imagined, but I promise you, if you stick with it, it’ll be worth it.”
